Saturday, August 30th, 2008: 5-Hit Game for Choo!
It was a parade of hits for Shin-Soo Choo of the Buffalo Bisons...one right after another...a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees for 5 hits in his 6 at-bats and propelled the Bisons to a 14-2 victory.

"Choo was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Yankees manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."

S. Choo flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far this year Choo has hit .290 with 2 home runs and 49 RBIs.

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008: Syracuse Wins, Shuts Out Yankees
Kyle Yates of the Syracuse Sky Chiefs was really in the zone as he mowed down the Scranton Wilkes-Barre hitters 4-0 in a sterling mound performance.

"I'm feeling good overall," he said.

"I'm executing my pitches, I'm able to hit my spots and I'm getting outs in key situations."

Yates shut down the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees, blanking them on 2 hits while registering 9 strikeouts and 2 walks.

In 2008 Yates has compiled a 15-10 mark with a 3.67 ERA in 28 starts. In pitching 186.1 innings he has 145 strikeouts and 42 walks while limiting the opposition to a .251 batting average.
