He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."

Christopher White of the Boise Hawks was certainly the King of the Hill today in the . He really did a number on the Everett Aqua Sox -- and that number was zero -- the number of hits he gave up in his game at Memorial Stadium. But the unbelievable happened -- he lost the game 1-0. He didn't allow the Aqua Sox a single base hit, yet lost the game.
"I can't believe I got a no-hitter and lost the game!" said a very disappointed White after the game. "Pitching a no-hitter is the last thing you think about when you go out to the mound to start a game. You just want to win the game. Well, I got my no-hitter, but we lost the game. Go figure that out. What are the odds of this happening? We just couldn't score enough runs."
White recorded 7 strikeouts and 3 walks in his sensational performance, but sadly will go into the league record books as the losing pitcher.
In 2008 White has compiled a 5-1 mark with a 1.97 ERA in 9 starts. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 37-39, .487 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 11.0 GB | | Record at home | 19-19, .500 PCT | | Record on the road | 18-20, .474 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 6-4, .600 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 11-8, .579 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 10-8, .556 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 27-31, .466 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 9-1, .900 PCT | | Record in June | 3-4, .429 PCT | | Record in July | 12-18, .400 PCT | | Record in August | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record in September | 10-3, .769 PCT |
