Monday, September 8th, 2008: Marcial Belts Bunch of Base Hits
During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! Robert Marcial went 5 for 5 against the Savannah Sand Gnats at State Mutual Stadium and the Braves picked up a 8-4 victory.

He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted second baseman was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.

"He was patient up there today," the Rome skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Marcial has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."

R. Marcial singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

For the year Marcial is batting .270 with 147 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 69 times and driven in 46.
