Thursday, September 4th, 2008: Cougars Whitewash Swing
Trevor Cahill of the Kane County Cougars was in command from start to finish in his 1-0 shutout win over the Quad Cities Swing. He struck out 7, walked 1 and allowed 4 hits.

"I felt strong the entire game," Cahill said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."

His record in 2008 is 10-10 in 31 starts and Cahill has a 2.39 ERA.

Monday, September 1st, 2008: Pitcher Wins Week's Top Player Award
The premier player in the Midwest League this week was a pitcher. Trevor Cahill of the Kane County Cougars outpaced all other players by leading his team to 2 wins in 2 starts.
