Friday, September 26th, 2008: Chiefs Defeat Snappers
The Peoria Chiefs were crowned the champions of the Midwest League today as they put away the Beloit Snappers at O'Brien Field 6-1.

It was the Chiefs 1st time to win it as they finished off the Snappers 4-3 in the Round 2.

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008: Manship Magnificent in South Bend Win
Beloit was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Jeff Manship blanked South Bend 4-0. He stopped them on 5 hits with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.

His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."

This season Manship has 14 wins and 4 losses and a 2.61 ERA.

Monday, August 18th, 2008: Moses MID's Best of the Week
Matt Moses of the Beloit Snappers cruised to Midwest League Player of the Week honors after putting together one of the finest stretches in his career last week.

The third baseman batted .593 (16-27) with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 6 runs scored.

In 2008 Moses is hitting .307 with 146 hits, 23 home runs, 93 RBIs, .367 OBP and has scored 72 runs.
