Thursday, August 21st, 2008: Dragons Blanked by Geer
Joshua Geer of the Fort Wayne Wizards was on fire against Dayton. He shut them down 3-0 on 2 hits and no runs with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Geer said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."

Crunching the numbers on Geer for the year, he has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 8-9 won-lost mark and 3.41 ERA. In pitching 134.2 innings, he has totaled 58 strikeouts and 33 walks.
