| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, September 24th, 2008: Jupiter Hammerheads Take Round 2
The 2008 Florida State League season came to a close today at Roger Dean Stadium, where the Jupiter Hammerheads whipped the Clearwater Threshers 2-0 and won their 1st Round 2 in history.
Jupiter got there by compiling a 81-59 mark during regular season play and claiming the second spot in the East Division standings.
The Hammerheads won the series 4-2 in games.

 | Saturday, September 20th, 2008: Thompson Tosses Shutout Against Clearwater
Jupiter was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Aaron Thompson blanked Clearwater 6-0. He stopped them on 5 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts.
His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."
This season Thompson has fanned 171 in 201.2 innings and collected a 11-12 record with a 3.08 ERA.

 | Saturday, September 13th, 2008: Alexis McEnaney Suffers Injury
Alexis McEnaney at first refused to leave today's Daytona-Clearwater game after he suffered a strained back muscle while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Clearwater reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep McEnaney out of action for 1-2 weeks.
This year McEnaney has notched 3 saves. He has 66 strikeouts and 29 walks in 95.2 innings while registering a 2.54 ERA and a 7-1 won-lost record.
