Monday, March 16th, 2009: Kendrick Hurt, Out for 1-2 Weeks
Los Angeles (A) fans held their breath as Howie Kendrick left yesterday's Indians-Angels contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 25-year-old second baseman had suffered back spasms while throwing the ball. It's estimated that he will be out 1-2 weeks.

Saturday, March 7th, 2009: DH Cust Agrees to New Pact with Angels
Los Angeles (A) and Jack Cust have reached an agreement bringing the 30-year-old to the Angels at a price of $4,500,000 over 1 year.

In his career Cust is batting .266 with 270 hits, 55 doubles, 2 triples and 55 home runs.
