Tuesday, September 16th, 2008: Harrisburg Tops Connecticut
There is great joy in Harrisburg today after the Senators thumped Connecticut 2-0 to cop the 2008 Eastern League Round 1. They defeated the Defenders 3-2 to take the series.

This was the 1st time Harrisburg has garnered the league title. During the regular season the Senators chalked up a 84-58 mark and finished up in first place in the Southern Division.

Monday, September 1st, 2008: Lannan - August's Top Starter
John Lannan hated to see August turn to September.
And who could blame him?
The 23-year-old hurler piled up 5 wins and no losses for the Senators last month and won the Eastern League Pitcher of the Month award for his efforts.

Lannan stymied opposing batters on 36 base hits and a .220 batting average. He rang up 15 strikeouts in 44.2 innings of work, surrendered 17 walks and fashioned a sparkling 2.01 ERA.

This season Lannan has compiled a 12-7 mark with a 3.01 ERA in 29 starts.

Monday, September 1st, 2008: Orr Top Hitter in EL in August
Harrisburg second baseman Pete Orr put the wraps on a fine August by capturing the Eastern League Batter of the Month honors today.

He put up a .447 batting average and .480 on-base percentage last month while racking up 6 home runs, 12 RBIs, 17 runs scored and 5 walks.

To date, Orr has collected 121 hits for a .281 average. He has posted 9 home runs, scored 53 runs and driven in 47 runs.
