Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008: Toledo's Sleeth Stands Out in Shutout
Kyle Sleeth of the Toledo Mud Hens shut down the Indianapolis Indians 5-0 on an excellent 3-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 8 strikeouts and allowing no walks.

After the game Sleeth said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count."

This year Sleeth has gone 7-2 with an ERA of 3.02 and has 49 strikeouts in 92.1 innings.

Sunday, August 31st, 2008: Wilson Sensational, 5-5
It was a hits blitz for Josh Wilson at Victory Field. The Indianapolis Indians shortstop tore into Columbus for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace Indians to a 11-9 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book.

The manager for the Clippers bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Wilson, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game."

J. Wilson doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 9th.

Wilson is presently batting .252 with 4 home runs, 45 runs scored and 48 RBIs. His OBP is .302.
